Years 3 to 6

Explore a Vibrant Learning Community

At Perth College, we support your daughter to reach her full potential. Our Junior School offers a comprehensive education that builds confidence, resilience, and independence, preparing students for success both in and out of the classroom.

Years 3 and 4: Building Independent and Resilient Learners

In Years 3 and 4, we focus on strengthening resilience and independence, giving your daughter the tools to navigate a dynamic world. Our hands-on, inquiry-based learning approach encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.

Students transition into our cutting-edge Junior School building, designed to support 21st-century learning with open, collaborative spaces.

The InsideOut Program helps girls develop emotional intelligence, manage friendships, and identify their strengths.

Starting in Year 3, students can take on leadership roles in the Student Representative Committee, boosting their confidence and collaborative skills.

Years 5 and 6: Inspiring Confidence and Self-Determination

As students progress to Years 5 and 6, we inspire them to discover their strengths and take responsibility for their learning. Our focus on self-reflection, creative thinking, and resilience helps girls prepare for Senior School and beyond.

Leadership opportunities expand, with formal and informal roles that encourage girls to contribute to the Junior School community. Our literacy and numeracy programs equip students with the skills needed to make informed decisions and excel in complex academic tasks.

Co-Curricular Opportunities: Building Well-Rounded Students

Our co-curricular program complements classroom learning with activities like sports, STEaM, arts and crafts, and cooking. Students also take part in beloved events like Grandparents’ Day, the Junior School Music Concert, the Art Exhibition, and interschool sports and arts competitions through IPSHA and JIGSSA.

These diverse opportunities help your daughter grow into a confident, well-rounded young woman, ready for the future.
