Boarding
Nurturing our Boarders to grow in confidence and develop their independence.
We support our students and instil a sense of responsibility and independence, to equip them with valuable life skills that extend far beyond their time at the school.
A Nurturing and Supportive Community
Our caring Boarding team create a safe and inclusive environment for our Boarders. Your daughter will have a robust support system, including a Head and Assistant Head of Boarding, Head of Year, and Health Centre staff who work together to promote her wellbeing and academic success.
At Perth College we prioritise wellbeing, offering individualised support to ensure each student’s unique needs. Our experienced pastoral care staff, which includes nurses, and psychologists build trusting relationships with our Boarders.
Regular house meetings provide a safe space for students to discuss their concerns, celebrate achievements and plan for activities. Mental health resources and counselling services are readily available for students needing emotional support.
Our caring and supportive environment fosters a strong sense of community and family among our boarders. This supportive setting allows students to thrive personally, academically, and socially at school.
Activities Program
The Boarding House Activities Program complements the School’s extensive cocurricular offerings providing Boarders a range of options based on their interests.
The program recognises the importance of life outside of school and encourages students to explore new activities and engage with the local community.
Sport is an important social activity for our Boarders. We have a number of athletic pursuits available with our Boarders also having access to join local clubs and sporting groups. Our program at promotes personal growth and skill development while fostering a sense of belonging in our wider community.
Our Boarding House
Our Boarding houses have a mix of year groups ensuring students can form a wide range of friendships and enjoy an inclusive home environment. Our houses offer spacious and well-appointed bedrooms, modern common areas, and dining facilities to ensure students always have a comfortable space to gather, relax and recuperate.
Girls in Years 7 and 8 share four-bed dorm-style rooms, while those in Years 9 to 12 may enjoy individual rooms with their own study space. We encourage ours Boarder to personalise their bedroom with their favourite photographs, books, posters, music and mementos to make it feel like home.
Our meals are served in Rose Dining Hall within Excelsior House. Our dedicated team of chefs that understand the importance of nutrition for girls and provide flexible mealtimes to accommodate cocurricular activities.
