Perth College Students have been securing spots in elite programs and overseas competitions!

We are thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of Perth College students who are excelling across a wide range of sports at local, national and international levels. Whether they are representing the School or the State of WA, our Student Athletes perform with pride! We are incredibly proud of our Students who continue to demonstrate dedication, courage, and strength through sport.

Golfing to Greatness

Congratulations to Alice Tonts, 2024 Leaver, who recently claimed her first WA state title at the GolfWA Provincial Championship. Alice is heading to the University of Toledo to begin her U.S college golf career. With Top 50 national rankings and a history of leadership as captain at the Australian U18 championships, Alice is poised for an exciting future.

Rowing

Ellsie (Year 12) has been competing in Adelaide over the past weekend at the Oceania Under 22 Championships. Ellsie placed 6th in the Women’s Lightweight Scull with a time of 10:38.78 in the 2000m event and competed as part of the Women’s Four and Women’s 8 team. This is an incredible achievement, well done Ellsie!

Hockey

Western Australia was well representing by Leah (Year 11) and Summer (Year 12) at the Australian U/18 Championships here in Perth. Both represented their state exceptionally well with Summer also captaining the WA Black team during the week. Abigail (Year 6) is representing Western Australia in the 2025 Hockey 12s Girls Championship. This team will be competing at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Bendigo, VIC from 17th August -22nd August 2025.

Swimming

Gracie (Year 11) was selected to compete in Ballarat as part of the Swimming Australia Tri-Series between WA, VIC, and NZ. Gracie competed with great determination in her events.Millie (Year 9) and Rhiannon (Year 12) have also travelled to QLD to represent WA at the School Sport Australia Swimming National Championships from the 26th to 31st of July. Rhiannon will also captain the WA team, further showcasing her leadership beyond the gates of Perth College. 

Soccer

The Young Matildas Championships were held in Sydney over the mid-term break and WA was well represented with both Lily (Year 9) and Jamie (Year 10) taking the field in the Under 15’s and Under 16’s sides respectively. 

Volleyball

Charlotte (Year 10) represented WA at the School Sport Australia Volleyball competition held in Adelaide. She has backed this up recently making the u15 Volleyball WA State team!

Gymnastics

Petrice (Year 7) earned a Bronze Medal at the Australian Gymnastics Championships on the Gold Coast for her performance in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Incredible! 

Netball

Jonni (Year 8) is having an exceptional year on the netball court making the Western Australian State School Netball Squad. She has also been selected to play in Christchurch during the Term 3 holidays for the Budgies Indigenous team at the International Netball Festival.

AFLW

Stella (Year 10 was selected to join an elite group of young women who played for West Coast Eagles in talent squad game against the Fremantle Dockers team. Following this, Stella was selected in the Western Australian U16 State team who competed in games all around Australia. 

Table Tennis

Joyce (Year 7) travelled to Victoria in July to compete in the 2025 Australian National Championships representing Western Australia. She competed at an incredible level alongside her Table Tennis Western Australia teammates in singles, doubles and mixed doubles!

Tennis

Tanaya (Year 5) was selected for the WA Super 10s program, the entry point to Tennis Australia’s Talent pathway. The program offers opportunities to compete, learn, and connect with peers across their state. Held in major Australian cities, the program fosters competitiveness, fair play, and teamwork.

Dance

Audrey (Year 5) was recently awarded runner-up state champion for dance & free dance rollerskating. She went on to compete in the National Roller-skating Championships held in Melbourne in July, where she placed 7th in Australia for her age and category.

World-Class Coaching for Perth College Soccer

Our IGSSA Soccer teams have kicked off an exciting new partnership this term with Manchester City Football Club. Their expert coaches are leading all training sessions and match-day coaching throughout the season. It’s an incredible opportunity for our students to develop their skills under the guidance of world-renowned professionals. 

Together, these accomplishments reflect not just athletic ability but the integrity, commitment, and leadership our students demonstrate in every arena. Whether competing on home ground or international stages, they are ambassadors of strength, determination, and grace.
